An online platform that provides resources, opportunities, and mentoring to MSMEs to help them bounce back this COVID season.
How might we equip MSMEs to adapt and redesign business operations in light of the COVID-19 pandemic?
An online hub that provides resources, funding opportunities, and mentoring for MSME entrepreneurs.
Almost all businesses in the Philippines are not prepared for the economic disruption brought about by COVID-19. While there are organic initiatives that sprung up to help MSMEs to bounce back, there is no unified hub for all these initiatives.
Limitless Lab was tapped by the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation to design an Online COVID-19 Business Recovery Hub For MSMEs called SIKAP, or the Synergizing Recovery Initiatives, Knowledge, and Adaptation Practices for MSMEs. SIKAP aims to equip micro, small, and medium businesses in the Philippines with the right information and knowledge on how they can adapt and redesign their operations in light of the COVID-19 pandemic across the globe.
The platform also contains a collection of funding opportunities and projects by different organizations that MSMEs can take advantage of during these trying times.
Since the soft launch, SIKAP has created an MSME Qchecker where businesses can check if they can operate during the quarantine, and other features that are beneficial to entrepreneurs.
Limitless Lab conducted in-depth research and empathy work for the target users of the platform – MSME entrepreneurs who are affected by the pandemic. After conducting our empathy work, the team also designed the site’s information architecture, content and design strategy, design systems, and wireframes.
The website (www.sikap.com.ph) had its soft launch on May 22. We have included the guidelines for the various community quarantines for businesses. Since the soft launch, SIKAP has created an MSME Qchecker where businesses can check if they can operate during the quarantine, and other features that are beneficial to entrepreneurs.
