Training Design, Toolkit Design
A three-phase education program designed to create future-ready farmers.
How might we increase our farmer's access to digital tools that can help them boost their productivity and marketability?
After a series of design thinking workshops, empathy interviews, and train the trainer enablement sessions, Limitless Lab created a toolkit that has helped train more than 1,000 farmers on digital literacy basics.
A majority of our Filipino farmers do not see any profit. One of the possible reasons for this is that our small-scale farmers, who are, on average, 57 years old, cannot maximize the latest trends in technology that can boost their livelihood. SMART and the Department of Agriculture, tapped Limitless Lab for their Digital Farmers Program. The program's goal is to equip farmers with the digital tools that will help boost their productivity and marketability, increasing profits.
Limitless Lab started the program by deep diving into countless empathy interviews and stakeholder analyses. The empathy work also included co-creation workshops with the master trainers who will be rolling out the toolkit to their community farmers. Afterward, we developed the toolkit based on our customer persona and insights. The toolkit underwent countless iterations and Limitless Lab even localized the toolkit to fit different communities all over the Philippines. Master trainers then underwent a series of train the trainer workshops regarding the toolkit which Limitless Lab facilitated.
