Training Design, Customized Workshop
A capacity-building workshop for Bangsamoro women entrepreneurs, teaching women how to brand and sell their products online.
How might we teach the basics of branding and marketing to women micro-entrepreuneurs in BARMM?
After more than 36 hours of training and five workshop runs, the Limitless Lab team has trained 135 women entrepreneurs on marketing and branding.
The pandemic has impacted micro-businesses all over the Philippines, especially for women-led businesses in the Bangsamoro region. Together with the Asian Foundation and the Visa Foundation, Limitless Lab launched Accelerate VISA - a project that provides Moro women entrepreneurs with valuable resources. One of the main components of Accelerate Visa is a series of capacity-building workshops designed to teach the Moro businesswomen the basics of marketing and branding.
“Nang dahil sa workshop naiintindihan at natutunan namin ang ibig sabihin ng branding…sa pamamagitan nito medyo umangat at malayo ang narating ng aming produkto, ang totoo nyan hindi lang sa local market nabebenta kundi maging sa abroad.” - Omaira Wahab Abdullah-Tangurak, WOW-Kidama
Limitless Lab first conducted an in-depth needs analysis of its target beneficiaries through a design thinking workshop with various project stakeholders and empathy interviews with the Moro businesswomen. After analyzing their pain points, Limitless Lab created a hands-on module that served as a crash course in marketing and branding. Some of the topics in the module tackled: the basics of online marketing, packaging, branding, and even social media marketing. The module was then used in a series of online and face-to-face training sessions, with participants sharing their potential marketing ideas with the group.
