Limitless Lab was chosen as the local implementor and partner of the ASEAN Foundation for its pioneer ASEAN Digital Innovation Programme (ADIP).
ADIP focuses on capacitating underserved youth on digital skills and computer science in seven ASEAN Member States.
In partnership with Microsoft and Empire Code Singapore, this ASEAN programme targets to equip 46,000 underserved young people aged 15 to 35 with digital skills that will allow them to thrive in the industrial revolution.
As the local partner and implementor of the program in Metro Manila, Limitless Lab spearheaded the program design and delivery of the Train the Trainers’ workshop of the ASEAN Digital Innovation Programme.
APPROACH AND IMPACT
We opened an online application for interested individuals who want to learn digital skills and who are also committed re-echo their learnings to at least 100 underserved young people.
After receiving more than 300 applications, we selected a total of 40 partner-trainers from all over Metro Manila.
These trainers were trained by Empire Code Singapore during our two day workshop on HTML and CSS. They also learned how to use the Future Ready ASEAN digital platform and how they can also onboard underserved young people to the platform.
Limitless Lab also paved the way for the involvement and partnership of the Philippine Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) for the implementation of the ASEAN Digital Innovation Program in Manila.
With the success of the Manila run of the program, DICT will be partnering with ASEAN Foundation, Microsoft, Empire Code Singapore, and Limitless Lab to further scale the implementation of the program nationwide through the 3000+ Tech4Ed centers in the Philippines.
